About the Role
The Office Assistant plays a supportive role in maintaining the flow of patient access to medical card services
Key Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and fielding questions related to qualifying requirements
- Assisting patients with creating or regaining access to their online patient portals
- Printing patient medical cards
- Providing check-in/check-out support and reception services
- Handling payments (card and cash)
- Opening and closing the office
Candidate Expectations
- Reliable, with dependable transportation
- Trustworthy with cash handling experience
- Punctual and prepared to provide excellent patient care and customer service
- Willingness to learn and adapt to NMDOH program rules and requirements (knowledge of the New Mexico Medical Cannabis Program preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Candidate Requirements
- HIPAA Certification
- Availability Monday–Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM (specific days discussed at interview)
- Basic computer and phone technology skills
