Objectives of this role
- Provide support to assistant managers and staff while ensuring that all retail operations are performing to company standards and guidelines.
- Support the General Manager and assistant managers in leading the retail team.

Responsibilities
The Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispensary and handling the needs of all patients/customers.
- Overseeing daily operations and ongoing internal requests and projects
- Managing bud tenders to ensure sales goals are being met
- Delegating tasks for the shift/day to each team member
- Ensuring all required and assigned tasks are completed following Canvas Organics guidelines and standards
- Ensure team members are following processes and procedures
- Hold team members accountable and responsible
- Responsible for training budtenders in their duties and responsibilities
- Continuous education about cannabis products
- Education about updated or new Canvas Organics processes and guidelines
- Education in customer interaction, upselling, and conflict resolution
- Identify any skill gaps and any additional training that may be needed for theteam member(s)
- Ensure sales goals are being met
- This includes daily, weekly, and monthly goals (individual and team), and monthly promotions
- Tracking of shift / daily sales by shift and individuals
- Ensure Customer satisfaction
- Ensure customer interaction guidelines are being followed
- Ensure correct information about products is being provided to patients/customers
- Ensure customer complaints and concerns are dealt with according to Canvas Organics guidelines
- Must monitor and respond to voicemails and emails
- Responses must be provided within 3 hours of receiving the voicemail or email, or routed and communicated to the appropriate staff
- Vault and cash responsibilities
- Follow Canvas Organics procedures for moving product to the sales floor through the POS
- Ensure minimum thresholds for the amount of each product are on the display floor for sales
- Physically move product from vault to sales floor at opening and back again at closing, following all Canvas Organics procedures
- Conduct general inventory audits
- Ensure the store is stocked with the correct monetary change
- Cash Handling
- Providing change to cash registers as needed throughout the day
- Open store on time according to Canvas Organics guidelines
- Closing the store on time according to Canvas Organics guidelines
- Ensure that manufacturing goals and orders are being met by the internal manufacturing team
- Resupply store products
- Provides count and weight information to Vice President (for Bio-Track)
- Packaging of flower (and other products)
- Pre-rolls
- Supplies – minimum amount kept in stock
- Refer to the shop supply list
- Ensure the manufacturing log is kept current each shift
- Assist with manufacturing as needed
- Prepare orders and processing for customer pick-up and curbside
- Prepare orders for customer delivery
- Contribute to team members’ performance reviews
- Assist with shift scheduling for team members (work with Assistant Managers)
- Creating and delivering reports to Assist Managers
Required skills and qualifications
- At least two years of cannabis retail experience.
- Previous retail leadership experience.
- Proficiency in Point-of-Sale software.
- Strong cash management skills for accurate financial transactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma preferred
- Cannabis Establishment Technician certified
